have a chat with the boots phamacy on baggot st. I am not sure what the name of it is but i do know that they are around 400+, we got them when we went to kenya. But dont worry too much about the price. there is a government scheme that if you pay the first 75 then government pays the rest.
have a chat with them in boots

    enjoy the trip

Taken malarone with no problems whatsoever ... They certainly were not as expensive as €400, but then again maybe the perscription drugs scheme was in effect.

I took malerone and had no side effects. They cost 140E for about 14 days dosage, my girlfriend on the same trip used Bymycin, for a quarter of the cost and she had no side effects either.

If I was going again, I wouldn't waste my money on Malerone, unless specifically told to use them because of the region you are going to. A friend who has lived in Africa for many years and never used Malerone was told to use Malerone because of the region of Nigeria they were visiting recently.

I'd recommend that for ease of mind and if your budget ain't tight, use Malerone, otherwise use the cheaper option.
