This is a such bloody rip-off if ever I've seen one!

    Issue 1: €1
remaining issues (94 to complete the collection and save each piece of the model): €9.99

    Total: €940.06
    Time to collect: 2 YEARS!

Just get yerself a couple of books for €150 and a model or two for €350 ffs and save yerself more than €400 and 2 yrs of hassle!

    It is what it's.

I started collecting an Astra one a couple of years ago , i spent over a hundred euro on the weekly parts and then without a warning they just stopped selling it. I was left with a peice of a car , that was no use to me.

    lol that is pretty stupid
u can buy very nice rc kit cars that are probably much better quiality for half that price!
but most arnt going to c it like that and will buy the first few mags...
wat i want to know is how many places will still be selling it in 2 years?

  I was just doing an internet search there trying to research that magazine and you've just saved me the bother!! Holy jaysus!! I think I'll be giving that a miss and taking up some other hobby for the new year!

EDIT: As a matter of interest, does that maker/publisher of that magazine have a website?

My mother started collecting the dolls house one a few years back.. She wanted to build it for my little niece... Got as far as issue no 15 or something and they discontinued it... She was livid.. shed spend a small fortune on the issues and little parts for the house and was left with half a dolls house and nothing to do with it... Bloody disgraceful if you ask me..

Not sure if they make the above mentioned BMW car, but I discussed DeAgostini and their other products here.
Lot of similar points like this thrown up, and it seems a few boardsies are fans of these things.

just seem if they dont sell well enough they will discontinue - no notice
