    hi guys,

i run a film night in my student union and i'm looking for film suggestions to show . i'm looking for one off films (as in nothing that's part of a trilogy) that are great movies but that might not have been seen by everyone. basically i don't want to show films that everyone has seen, i want to broden peoples movie experience. the only restriction is that the films have to have been released by these production companies:

    Warner Bros. Entertainment
    Columbia TriStar
    Metro Goldwyn Mayer
    Pathé Films
    Entertainment Film Distributors
Buena Vista International which includes Disney, Touchstone and Miramax
United International Pictures which includes Universal and Paramount

any suggestions would be greatly appricated. thanks

I'm not sure who holds the rights to it but The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp is an infrequently seen but life changing film. There was a thread about it here a few months ago that involved those of us who had seen it generally drooling over its genius.

Definitely. Watched it about a week ago and have thought about it every day since.

Trivia: The word "fu*k" and its variations are used 210 times in the film, which averages out to be approximately 1.6 times every minute.

I think Rank released it and it was distributed by United Artists.
