Moi, I got a 3/4 length red wool coat and a silvery-browny jacket! Warm days ahead for me!

Also got some Benefit make-up - not sure yet if it works well but it smells very nice!

    :v:

Got all this in BT in Cork but over all they had very few really nice things available imo.

Brown Thomas had a pre-christmas sale with discounts on some items up to 50%, then the day it reopened after christmas(day after Stephens' day) the actual sale started where the majority of the stock were discounted and now today/tomorrow there's a further 10% off all the sale items, so a lot of the nice stuff is well gone by now.

Went shopping in the sales the other day, found very little. Got a few things but then ended up just buying a load of non-sale stuff too.

Got 2 nice tops in the Next sale, but other than that most of my sale bargains aren't Fashion/Appearance material. I'm going shopping for boots on Friday though.

Got a chocolate brown Karen Millen dress - has a corset top and a floaty embroidered skirt. Was only 15% off, but I really wanted it, they only had one in my size and my brother gave me 50Eur towards it. Had checked it in a few places and it was the same everywhere, was going to wait until it went down in price again but when I tried it on... My parents had wanted me to get a coat but they knew me too well...

My SO got me a long black Promod dress that was half price in Lisbon.

Am hoping to get another Kipling bag, this time carry on lugage, is reduced by 50Eur approx in Arnotts.

Was hoping to get some Ecco shoes but the sales were not great.

Since the sales have started ive been to dundrum shopping centre and jack and jones in nutgrove and i just cant find anything nice for myself. Even before chritsmas i was finding it hard to find nice clothes, and the only nice things i found were incredibly expensive!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,082 ✭✭✭✭Stark

They didn't seem to have anything nice down in Cork :( Except a really nice top and a really nice t-shirt which weren't in my size

Gorgeous dark blue fcuk skinny jeans in BT2 with 30% off and the cutest little pink Dior bag half price! Gutted cause they had no shoes to match the bag but got home and found a pair of pink shoes that I forgot I had and are the exact same colour as the bag- seriously happy camper! (",)

    230 for a bag
What a waste of money. The most I'd pay for a bag is 50.
Anyway, I got a brown 3/4 length coat for 10, yes 10 Euro! in A-Wear, it was reduced from 50 Euro. :D

I've been meaning to go in to town and get myself another nice big coat but I havn't been up in time at all.

Got a short black pleated skirt which buttons up.
    Simple black V-neck.
    Grey t-shirt with white collar.

    All in Zara.

Got a black skirt in Penneys for a fiver.

A-wear had the best sales. Queues were so long decided to come back and forgot to! I bought grey 3/4 lengths for xmas before the sales at €40, came back to the sales - they were €10! Was so upset!

They have a lovely teal coloured jacket which is quite fitted for €10. They also have some nice bright patterned string tops for €5/€10.

b8_1_b.JPG but in yellow stripes. Cost me £8. I'm seriously broke since spending loads on presents at Xmas and treating myself to a candy pink DS.

I went shopping today with intent to buy a pair of jeans and I found 2 absolutely amazing, exactly what I was looking for and reasonably priced pairs (so perfect it's untrue!)......... but as per usual none in my size. What do shops have against 32/32 size pairs of jeans??? Order more in goddamit! I'll give it another shot tomorrow.

A new jacket because some ****er stole mine on Stephen's night. Bastard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,518 ✭✭✭✭dudara

A dark green leather handbag in Next (E14) that's perfect for holding notepads etc. My big purchase was a pair of wine Miu Miu high heel shoes in BT Dublin. They were E325, and I got them half-price plus I used a E50 voucher I received as a present.

Other than that, I'm determined to drop some weight, so I won't do any clothes shopping till then, though I do need some new combat-type pants

I can't shop in the sales!! I get really clostrophobic! especially in Dundrum! The most I bought was loads of earrings and simple products! I didn't see any sale on make up such as benefit or ysl??

I had spotted a gorgeous Jade dress in Monsoon before Christmas that I really wanted but it was €235, was just in Monsoon after and got it for €70 - was on a shopping high after that. Heading to a wedding in February so I'm chuffed :)

Red wool coat for €30 reduced from €100
Green velvet fitted jacket for €15 reduced from €60
LK bennet suede wedges for €129 (not sure of the original price, think it was around €200)
Black calf length boots for €25, originally €80.
Few other bits n pieces. Any moeny I would have "saved" by buying on the sales was probably spent on non-sale items!!

I just bought loads of stuff that I wouldn't have bought if they weren't on sale!! They will just stay in the Sales section of my wardrobe with all the other impulse buys with tags on them!

I can't wait for the summer!! I prefer summer clothes so much more! :D:D

7 tops, from River Island, Brown Thomas and awear, and lots of underwear in Brown Thomas. And I made a stop at MAC too for my little fix- no sale on there, though! Larianne, my MAC expert, do they EVER have sales? I can't ever remember them having any.

Is this ebay.ie, do many people buy stuff on ebay are the clothes new, real etc?

I bought nothing in the sales. I saw a really nice pair of jeans but surprise surprise they weren't in my size..Then I continued to look for any kind of bargain but unfortunately im not an L or XL..Those guys must be delighted when the sales come round..

There's very little in the sales if you are

    a) heavily pregnant
    b) very tall

    and

    c) have larger feet than ladies shoes allow.

ERGO, I just bought loads of baby stuff in the sales. Sales in mothercare etc... I never thought I'd see the day I'd get excited about these, but such is life.

    I got a half-price moses basket \o/

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,236 ✭✭✭techguy

I hit the Brown Thomas sale pretty hard- I was queuing up at 8.30 to get in. Got a pink, Dior shopper bag that's mega cute for half price. Got a Diane Von Furstenburg dress for half price that is really fab and will do for any occasion. Then I got a pair of Jimmy Choo's that had 100 euro off. Very happy with my purhases!

The Balenciaga motorcycle bags were 30% off so were something like 620 with the discount- I seen one woman with 4! Wish I had the money to buy one!

    almost €500 later,i think ive gotten enough stuff,anymore and i could go broke, but in the sales i got;
2 pairs of converse all stars
    light blue ripped jeans
    2 belts
    3 ties
2 hoodies (not just any hoodies)
2 shirts (not just any shirts)
    rugby top
    another top
2 tshirts (probably the best impulse buy ive ever done)
    blazer/hoodie combo

there is another shirt and an aftershave i wanna get but i think if i get those i will have to admit i have a problem

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,082 ✭✭✭✭Stark

Managed to find myself a lovely jacket that had been reduced to practically nothing :) Also picked up a tshirt and a "I'm not sure I'll wear it but I might and it's really cheap" top.

OT but CHRIST I hate those Balenciaga bags!! When every high street store has started knocking them off and putting leather lariats on every bag they make, it's time to move on. I only saw the blue and red in the sale which imo are the most horrible colours in the range anyway.
