    not bein nasty

but that tracks not even 1/10th finished

i can count a vocal sample, kick, hat, snare, 2 brass stabs/loops and a crash

theres no bassline, synths, pads, fills, rhythmic percussion or anything

    it sounds so.... empty

kicks too hard as well for the tune, sounds like a hard house kick

Hi helix tanx for the feedback..

i know what your saying but i dont feel its right to say thats its one tenth finished, you are trying to fit my track into the way you would produce it.?

I know what your saying that there is not much in it, but thats the way i make music, i wouldnt make it anyother way, its not trying to be a synthy tech house number or whatever like you described, im going for a kind of jackin sound..

Everyone makes toons diferent, if it was a trancy techy toon mabey you would use more stuff but alot of people are into a minimal sound too so you dont have to have loads of sounds in there.

A track cant be deemed not finished just because you dont have certain sounds in there.

Like if i listened to a rush track or something i too could say its very empty or whatever but thats just the way they are made,

Anyway i totally know what your saying but i feel its not 100% accurate..

    tanx

no im not tryna make it fit to the way i produce

    the track isnt finished

its the bare bare bare bare bones of a track

the track is empty, rush stuff isnt empty

it employs most of the frequency range, but does it cleverly

sounds like Girly tek to me:p

prefer this to your dirty assid track... it's definitely lacking though.
and you tend to overuse what little samples you do have

I think its a snare that comes in at the 9th bar imo it sounds horrible... sorry
Thats not to say i dont like it. i think its pretty funky actually. I like the sample one round of "techno music, techno music, techno music, ... pounding"

Anyway my opinions lack credibility but i still like to give them.

Girly tek is a perfectly valid genre.
I'm just saying it sounds more like that to me than a "funky-tech vibe"

looks finished enough to get a release and distribution deal with detroit's submerge...

    http://www.submerge.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=KKD-001&Category_Code=

dj 3000 also included it in his top ten of 2005..

    Congratulations Richie

Its not that the song is bad or anything. Theres just nothing to it. Its the same drums with the same 2 note riff through most of the song. Show me another professionally made song that sounds like that. Even the ones you think are "minimal" have lots going on, its just very subtle which is why minimal songs are a craft of there own. Its not just a half made song.
