My mate came to look at my sat stuff and decided he's going to jump in and get his own.

    Here's what he wants.

Living room : Hotbird13e Football + Astra 28e FTA channels
    3 Bedrooms : Astra28e FTA channels

what's the most efficient way of getting this and can it be done on one dish?

    Would need to dishes anyways.

DUnno if you can feed one box from 2 dishes as frequencies would overlap. May need 2 boxes for the living room too.

    If it were me

    1. 1 small Dish for the 3 beds pointing at astra 2 with quad lnb and 3 cable runs
    2. Another dish for the living room, single lnb but motorised , he can keep looking for footie beyond hotbird and astra2 then .

BTW, anyone know the satellite which carries Premiership to the middle east. Its the one which Clive Tyldsley commentates in English.

Good as all the commentary is in English and carries about 2 games per week.

You're probably talking about ART on Hotbird.

Thanks to all for the answers.

The real question is, can you put 28 and 13 fixed on a 80cm dish ?

I have exactly what he is looking for working. I have 2 60cm dishes up one pointed at 28.2E and the other at 13E. I have a quad on the 28.2E which is feed through a disecq switch and to three other rooms also. The 13e dish is also feed into the disecq switch. This switch is then feed into my Technomate 1500ci where it is used to watch All FTA on 28.2 and also all the footy on Art and TPS. Works a treat.

The cost of it would set him back a couple of hundred euro to set up, but he will be well impressed once its up and running. Give tony a shout for some prices. He is doing a strong FTA for €99 or €89 without the rf outputs which is great value and he also stocks the switches for €19.

For a receiver you wouldn't really want an fta for hotbird maybe a ci receiver so you could put a cam in it for the future
