That's it Darkman, YOU'RE OFF THE CASE

    sorry.

Are you serious? That's hilarious, it would take the Irish to pump a million into a Secret Service when we don't even have a proper police force or health service. What do they do? Who are they protecting, Mick Lally? Or maybe Ryan Tubridy?

hmmmmm i remember after the budget the Finance minister was being pressed by the greens to 'admit the secret service exists'. Dont we already have a Garda special branch and intelligence unit?

Also it is known that up to 15 AQ symphitisers reside here.

Maybe they're hot on the case too, but I'm pretty sure Secret Service are involved too. IIRC it's made up of ex-Garda officers. Army Intelligence (think they're called G2) work with them too. All very hush hush ;)

I didn't know that we had a U.F.O. problem in Ireland. Or else its probably the mop-up unit for Fianna Fail when they f**k things up, although they would need more than a million.:)

It's so secret even the agents don't know they're in it. They think they're bin-men but are actually spying on Dublin's criminal underworld through garbage monitering.

Irish Secret Service is a cover name used by government etc for funding clandestine sections of the Gardai which include sections of the Special Detective Unit, Emergenct Res Unit and the National Surveillance Unit amongst others. Members of the above have been trained in several countries including the US with the FBI and SWAT etc and have also been trained by members of the British Security Services including mi5, mi6, and the SAS. Most of this trainning was offered in the 90s in an attempt to close down dissident republican groups which were seen as a threat to the peace process which the above countries had invested so much in to have it fail. Call intercepts or bugging and personal tracking through the use of individuals mobile phones have been the most successful part of this trainning and details of the use of peoples mobiles as personal bugs and tracking devices have been kept from the Irish media for obvious reasons.

That's only their 'white' budget, you don't really believe they spent €270 million on PPARS do you ?

The only thing close to a secret service that Ireland has is the Army Ranger Wing. They are special forces trained in everything from deep sea diving to killing a man with a sponge. :D
