I'm having problem getting my Strong Receiver to store more than 2 sats on a motorised dish. I have Astra 2a2b and Hotbird. when I add another sat one of the other 2 disappear. any ideas? thanks D.

Does your receiver have a GotoX / Usals feature?
    Does your motor have GotoX?

If so, use that and then you don't "store" any satellites, you just have motor aligned on any (ideally 8W, but 30W can be good as harder to mix up ) and they all work provided enough signal is received.

Otherwise you are storing in the "motor" and need to consult the instructions with the motor as to recommended number (position) to use to store which satellite.

Only Stab licenced receivers call the feature Usals.

You need to enter your own Lat and long into the receiver menu to setup GotoX / Usals type operation as the Satellite receiver uses the Satellite position (i.e. 19E or 15W) to calculate a Motor GotoX diseqc 1.2 command based on your own position Northern and Western angles.

What model Strong. I have the 6355 and have 5 different sats set up on it. What steps do you take to program in the sats?

Strong receivers are always having small problems like this.As Watty said does your receiver have gotox function.

I have a Strong 6355 with settings for 8 satellites stored. It works fine

It does not do USALS, there is nowehere to enter longitude or latitude etc. It just remembers the position after you've moved the dish. But, it will not remember a satellite unless you've captured and stored some channels for them.

hiyez....yes the model number is 6155. I'm using the save satellite function on the set up channel menu. I'll try the go to x thingy but I think I tried this before.
