London to Iran by train

Well ive been planning this for almost a year , i have applied for my Iranian visa (should hopefully get it back next week), i have worked out my route, booked all the relevant trains and return trip planes , booked my flight to london .....

Now, how in the name of Jebus do i get from Heathrow to Waterloo, without spending a fortune on a taxi, anyone familiar with the tube route ??

That is one mad trip, hope it works out for you. I did New York -> New York along the outskirts of America by train and that was a mammoth undertaking but London -> Iran sounds mental! Make sure and keep us posted.

Sorry I'm not familiar with London so can't hep with getting from Heathrow to Waterloo.

Its a long trip alright , goes London > Paris > Vienna > Budapest > Bucharest > Istanbus > Tehran and wouldnt you know it and easy bit like Heathrow to Waterloo has me stumped !

Heathrow to Waterloo, you can either take the tube or the Heathrow express.

If travelling all the way by tube, take the Piccadilly Line (purple) from Heathrow to Piccadilly Circus. At Piccadilly Circus, change and take the Bakerloo line (brown one) southbound for Waterloo.

The Heathrow Express (faster and more comfortable) will take you from Heathrow to Paddington Station. From there, you have two options. You can take the Bakerloo line directly from Paddington to Waterloo. Or you can go from Paddington to Baker Street and then take the faster and more modern Jubilee(grey) line to Waterloo.

You can also use the cheaper Heathrow Connect trains (http://www.heathrowconnect.com/) from Heathrow to Paddington, and then take the Bakerloo line to Waterloo. The connect service is £9.50. Follow the signs for the Heathrow Express as the Connect service uses the same line.
