one of the rear suspension coil springs is broken on my 01 astra, i have ordered 2 new ones and they are easy to fit but my question is...

can i still drive the car??

cars not lop sided or anything so all i am worried about is the broken end of the spring damaging the springs seating area

I drove about for a while with a cracked spring, apart from not helping the handling it did'nt do any damage.

if you have a broken spring you should have a look at Mad Springs , http://tinyurl.com/a6qpw. these are the best replacment springs you can get. O'Connells Bros. in Cork are the dealers for them.
