no doubt some of that is from me. i've been running very poorly. at least the money iive been losing has been money i already won

Presuming he won 14 outright then I have to guess that he's played about 30 in 3 days. Not really a life I'd be jealous of. In fact I'd give ur pal another day before a month long burnt out kicks in full time.

    ah the memories.....

Actually, there's only $17 profit in winning a $5 stt on tribeca, so he'd have to win 20 in 3 days, without losing a single one. Its not impossible, but it is a little hard to believe.

Plus, the month review is coming, and i'll still have my dignity when its published, verified by a 3rd party.

"Not impossible but a little hard to believe" were exactly my sentiments regarding your original thread in question. I'm not saying you didn't do what you claim to do, I'm suggesting that many would expect that after the grilling you received on these boards for a somewhat similar claim, you might be loath to question the claims of others whatsoever. People in glass houses...

Anyway, happy new year boardsies, as I said to someone who was giving me abuse on party today: "My new year's resolution is to include your children in my diet"

30 in 3 days isn't a lot..if you had the time to do it. I've played 35 in a single day this month. Mind you Doc is right, after a couple of days of it you get serious burnout...there goes my fledgling pro career :D

as far as i know my mate had about $3 left in his PPP account on Dec 26th, but only needed another 100 paddy point sto get his $101, so he deposited another $50, got his $101 and hit the tables, on dec 26th he cashed in 13 out of 14 $5 STT. he then withdrew $100. then on the 27th had a similar day, i think cashing in 11 out 15, again he withdrew $100. on the 28th and 29th he played less, cashing in 5ish out of 7ish both days. on the 30th (today) he lost $14. his account is at $240.

the above is roughly what i remember from talking to him over the last few days, i have no idea if its true or false or even if it all adds up.

me on the other hand.... the losing continues....

Your mate has selective amnesia or it's a load of b****x.
He cashed in 44 STTs in 4 days and didn't cash in 9.
    Is his online name Pinocchio?
Or was this a bragging contest that got out of hand?

44 STT's in 4 days (only 11 a day!), very do-able when you get the band of brothers and west wing boxsets for christmas, the maths makes financial sense, go on, get your phone out, use addition and multiplication, thats it, well done... he has $244.94 US in his account, i just saw it, about 30 seconds ago.. i've also just seen his account history.. about 20 seconds ago.. do the maths again just to double check that YES it is possible...assuming an average of $10 profit from each game thats a $440 profit, and i original only said he made $350, yes that was a lie of error on my part, he has taken out 200, so his total account is 444.94, ignoring the 101 bonus and his 50 deposit he has infact only made $300... a gross error on my part, nonetheless, you are syaing that cashing in 37 out of 44 tournaments is "b****x" and as such you are calling me and my mate a liar! maybe your just not as good as him... is your username sour_grapes ?? let me know when you're finished writing a large apology both to myself and my mate!

and a happy new year too!! :)

nobody here would resent your pal making a profit from 5 dollar tournies, it sounds like he earned it.

if he made a tenner profit from 30 out of 44 games then congrats to him. I hope it continues and if you want to remove all doubt why not post the history of them.

    gl, d.

It is business as usual today in the Fitz, except for the fact that the tournie is 40+5 with 4 rebuys instead of the usual Sunday night one.

Thanks. I turned up to play the fitz 30 shorthanded. I dont think people were aware it was business as usual as there wasnt a good turnout this week.

Smilies and happy-new-year messages don't make the preceding statement any less stupid. It is quite, quite stupid.

I think if you had ever met Kincsem, now or at any point over the twenty odd years that he has been playing poker in this country, then you probably wouldn't have written such a stupid post.

In case you're missing the point, my position is that your post was stupid.

    AND A HAAAAPPPY NU YEAR!!!!!!!!!111111111111111111111111:):):):):_):):00000
    Stupid.

Ask your friend if he thinks he can do it again, and how much money he has. Maybe we can work something out.

hmmm... he called my mate a liar and then some... and he was very wrong... i stand by what i said. apparantly if i say kincsem has sour grapes im "stupid" too, but marq sees nothing wrong with calling my posts "b****x" ... oh i do love how balanced and unbiased this is...

your defending your mate to the hilt ...

... the guys are doing the same ...

... i see nothing wrong ... hand histories would prove it conclusively either way .. and you did say you were able to see account/profits .. why not clear it up ;)

yes that proves it all. i can die happy now ...

a balance ... you obviously have transactions too .. not gonna publish them?? :D

    What does that prove???

Also I don't see why everyone is moaning over $280. Most people here would make more than that in one session.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,179 ✭✭✭White Knight

your right it does not prove anything! sarcasm is hard to imply online ...

its not the $280 that we were questioning ... it is how the $280 was claimed to be won ... and im not saying that they are lying at all and ill be first to congratulate anyone if that record stood up ... but ... it is unlikely!

dit poker just click on account history on paddy power and select the last week as the dates for the screen.

then they shall all regret questioning your friend's honesty - as I never did!

soon we shall be justified dit poker! u and me! justified! both of us.....

    together.

to clarify a few things ditpoker:

I never called your post b****x. that was someone else. if I had called your post b****x, I would have spelled it "Bollocks", as that is the spelling I prefer.

I never questioned your friends claim - in fact, I defended it against amaru, if you read back over my posts in this thread you'll see that.

The only reason I criticised your post (which was quite stupid, lets be honest) is because you were implying that someone who has won and lost tens of thousands at the game over a relatively long period of time, would be eating sour grapes because some anonymous punter won 280 dollars in the space of a week or two.

Many of the posters here would consider 280 dollars a mediocre day, let alone be jealous of your friend.

I don't care how much money your friend wins or loses, and unlike others in this thread, I don't even care how - I've never doubted his claim.

Well, if you're buddy can place 1st in 5 consecutive $5 stts and plays on Victor Chandler, VC will give him a $500 bonus.

    Nice promotion: http://www.vcpoker.com/news/promotions.htm

Win 4 consecutive STTs in a row and receive a $200 bonus
Win 5 consecutive STTs in a row and receive a $2,000 bonus
Place 1st or 2nd in 5 consecutive STTs and receive $100

    Payout Structure:
    1. For claims containing tables with a buy in from and including $1 up to and including $5—25% of the total bonus payout will be applied.
    2. For claims containing tables with a buy in of greater than $5 and up to and including $15—50% of the total bonus payout will be applied.
    3. For claims containing tables with a buy in of greater than $15—100% of the total bonus payout will be applied.

Is it just me or has anybody else noticed alot of "My poker dick is bigger than your poker dick" posts over the last few months.I very rarely post up results only if a few boardsfolk were playing and they were interested in how I got on.Each to there own I suppose.

The above is not aimed at anybody its just a general comment.

Please please please won't somebody think of the children (/me looks at mods) and change the title of this thread to "My poker dick is bigger than your poker dick"

Entry into the doublechance - 50+5 euro
      Entry into PPP STT $5+$0.50
My poker dick is bigger than your poker dick - priceless

I agree, its getting a bit ridiculous. I'm also not trying to offend anyone but does anyone really cares if someone made $280, or if they claim they won a few STT's in a row? Just put it in the bad beat thread.

It seems that the people that are really making money are the ones keeping quiet about it.
