I said this in the games forum but figured you people deserved to know.

All DS games in Xtravision are €25. I picked up Advance Wars DS and my gf picked up Kirby in Blackrock though a mate of mine is a manager elsewhere and confirmed that its Dublin wide.

Included Mario 64, Tony Hawk, Polarium, Wario et al.

Dont bother going to D22 one ...all games still 45 and the 6 that were there if they went to 25 it would be 24 too much for them.

It's €25 each or 2 for €40. I just picked up the games I've been meaning to get for ages - Castlevania, Advance Wars, Tony Hawks and Meteos. All for €80, compared to the €140 I could have spent getting them through Play+CDWow!

€25 is still a lot to me seeing as I don't actually make any money, and if it's Dublin wide, I doubt they'll be doing it in Greystones. Would've been nice if I had the money.

I got them in the Finglas branch. I don't know if they were the last ones. They were the last on the shelf (hidden behind some other games ), but they gave me sealed ones from the back of the shop, they might have more back there?

Hi Guys - I posted this in the Bargin Alerts thread also (that deals with 2 for 40) but said I'd post here also in case some of you guys don't check the Bargain Alerts...anyhoo.....

I got DS games at 25 Euro each in Drogheda, but asked about the 2 for 40 and they said no.
I said I knew someone who got them for that in Dublin (i.e you guys on boards) and they said that it was a mistake - it shouldn't pertain to DS games.
Anybody checked XtraVision elsewhere to confirm this ?

If it's as you guys claim, I shold be avle to get 10 Euro back from them for the 2 games I purchased at 25 each.....

Just got 2 for 40 in XtraVision in Midleton in Cork. The sale sticker said 25 each, or two for 40. They tried charging me 50 on the till but there was no problem once I mentioned the 2 for 40 deal.

Picked up Meteos in Xtravision stillorgan today. It was part of the 2 for 40 deal (rightly or not).

They had Kirby and the usual suspects but no advance wars alas.

The sticker was different in Drogheda Kerbdog - Said "Was 45 now 25" - still a great deal though

my brother got battlefield2 for ps2 for 25euro too. i know that's unrelated to DS, but that's great.

the reason is that xtra-game is being phased out (it lost the company big money) so they're just getting rid of stock now. i know this because up to a few months ago i worked for 'em

Meteos clicks when you become good at combos and sending the whole screen of meteos at your enemies. Don't play it for too long. I remember not being able to sleep for 4 hours one night because all I saw when I closed my eyes were meteos falling

well just played it for the last 2 hours...still havnt made a combo big enough to send up the whole screen...but am enjoying it.

Generally speaking, Xtra-vision's prices are set by a central server. The stickers are changed manually store-by-store though; so there may well (read will) be deviations from the stickering and the actual price on the system. So go forth to the counter and ask them to check!

And while you're in there rent a movie or two .

I was in their today renting a movie, and yay! They are doing it in our local Xtra-Vision, but too bad most of the games I woulv'e gotten, I either had, or has yet to be released (so no deals f they're not restocking). Such a shame it didn't apply to a PC version of HL, though.

That every title is on 'sale'. Sonic Rush, Narnia and a few others were still €45, but most other titles were €25, or 2 for €40.

But I only have €15, and I'll be hopeing another €25 will head my way before it's too late.

If any corkheads are looking for Meteos for cheap, the Midleton branch has one copy left. It also the usual suspects (Sprung, Bubble Bobble, etc), but no Advance Wars

Great deal, I picked up Sonic Rush, Kirby, Castlevania and Oddworld Strangers Wrath, all for 80 euro. Not bad at all

If anyone is down the Sligo direction in the next few days, Xtravision in the town still have loads of the 2 for €40 games left.

I got Advance Wars and Sonic Rush but they also had Meteos, Mario Kart and Kirby's Power Paintbrush.
