Hi, was hoping someone could help me with this.

I want to know if i can connect a Dell 2001FP monitor to my laptop and use its max resolution of 1600x1200. My graphics card is an Intel 82845G and seems to be able to support this resolution at 60HZ (the monitor is 70HZ). I only have VGA and SVideo connections on my laptop.
I would really appreciate if anybody could help me with this.

Any video card sold in the last six years will display 1600x1200. And according to Dell, that monitor supports VGA in, so just a standard VGA cable should do the trick.

    The Hz thing won't matter.

And since 1600x1200 seems to be its native resolution, it'll all go very nicely together.

    Thanks Balfa,

I've found one on ebay for €485 from what seems to be a reputable seller, I would rather buy new but its a good saving.

    Thanks again
