hi. i have a .pdf document and i want to copy and paste some text from it. normally dont have a problem doing this but for some reason it wont work properly with the particular document i'm working with. here's the problem...

when i select a block of text, and subsequently paste it into word, it comes up looking something like this...

    ___ ___ _ _______ __ ____ _
    __ _____ ____ _ _ ___ and so on.

if i then select this in word and try to convert it to any other font, it still just comes up as a pile of underscores, as above. it doesn't matter where in the pdf i extract text from, it always comes up like this when i paste it into word. i have checked in the pdf document properties>security section and it says there is no security in the document and that content/text extraction is allowed. my other pdf files dont have this problem. any ideas? cheers

What version of AR are you using?

I find that the following solves a lot of font issues in Publisher XP for me: after pasing, click that little square that appears under the text and chose 'Preserve text only'.
