    Hi there,

Looking to buy 100 DVDs, preferably 8x and plain white (printable) top.

Probably going to order from these guys, prices are good, as is postage to Ireland: http://www.svp.co.uk/

Has anyone any recommendations, I need them in a hurry so dont have time to buy a sample pack to test them.

I'm looking for something fairly cheap, but that will work ok (dont need any more drinks coasters:)

    Thanks in advance,
    Blobert

But if anyone can recommend a good disc from them i guess I could wait.

    Thanks Again,

Thanks for the advice, will have a look at the Datasafes and Bulkpaqs
Any more tips would be much appreciated.

It seems as though there is a better range of DVD- discs so I'll probably go with them.

    Thanks,
    Blobert

you should stay away form cheap discs, they are not as reliable in the long term than ritek or verbatim discs

If you live near Dublin you could visit these (they also deliver)

    http://www.justmedia.ie/

I bought 100 Arita G04 die (Ritek) and have used 50 so far with no coasters also 34 euros for 100 DVD-R.

Mistmyr why do you have to use +R I also have a NEC2510 and was under the impression that they burn -R disk better. I have always user -R.

I just get better results with the +R media better speed and as long as im using a fairly good quality disk i dont get many coasters.....

As above poster said somewhere, if u use cheap media u willend up with alota coasters, also some branded drives just work better with some media brands then with others, check the manu web sight to see the supported brands...

verbatim or tdk all the way.23 euro in komplett for 50 of them 16x(but best burn at 8x for integrity),10 euro delivery
tbh, loosing over 4 gig of data to a cheap disc where the dye degrades after a year or two or in my case after 2 months (self erasing discs lol) is a false economy. in fact many people pay even more and swear by taiyo yuden.
also get a good dvd burner, the benq 1640 from komplett at 45 euro gives smooth error free burns.

also +r gives fewer errors as the poster above said.

I have had very good results with an NEC ND-3500A using 8x Datawrites (yellow) which are pretty cheap discs.
