"Save As" Dialog box keeps closing

When I save a file and the dialog box comes up, as soon as it finishes downloading the box disappears without giving me the chance to click on "open" - this only started a couple of days ago, before that the box remained there until I decided whether to open the file or close the box - any ideas??

is this using the normal downloader on internet explorer?
may sound stupid but:
there is a little tick box at the botton that says something along the lines of "close dialog box when finished" just untick!
if u mean something else just give more info
