I did my first sub wrestling comp as well in UCD, and enjoyed it ,
probably the highlight of the year for me was going to Pride 30 in the saitama super arena in Tokyo,

I thought as events went that The Pride middleweight and lightweight tournaments were absolutely amazing really blew me away !

I also broke 500 posts in 2005 which was a personal milestone

This year has been a bit of a write off for me competition wise. My wife had a baby in May, and once I got over that and back into training regularly, I had to get surgery on my... well on my head TBH. Chalk up a recurrence of a knee injury earlier in the year too and you have 365 days of lying semi-fallow.
However it was a big year for me as a coach as we went independent of any organisation in August. KO Martial Arts is growing constantly, so much that I'm having difficulty remembering names!

I've attended a couple of seminars, of which the best was Matt Thornton in March. A few comps and fight nights, of which the best was Rings Reborn. I've also met and trained with a few of the folk on here.

Actually, TBH and off the topic of MA (ban coming!!), it was a pretty poor year for me all in all. Deaths, illnesses and general sh1t all around. Aside from the happy event mentioned above, I can't wait to see the back of 2005. Roll on 06 I say!

even though the original post has been removed??

2005 was eventful for me in good and bad ways...

    Pros MA:
i started up teaching again, i brought rick clark back to ireland twice, i went totally independent and i made some great new friends and caught up with some old ones.

    Cons MA:
i had to move halls(but worked out for the better).

Personally this year we had the birth of our 3rd child and I had to move out of a job I loved due to politics!!

Next years must be better :D

Hope you all have a great new year!!
