Anyone know much about it? Ryanair fly from Shannon — can find very little on the place.

Also, anyone know how far it would be from the (Ryanair) airport there to Alicante or Malaga?

    Hi,

I lived there for a year ....and loved it.Its a university city so it has a good selection of bars and clubs..the weekends are the busiest..bars and nightclubs stay open very late ,many til around 6am.Not sure if its exactly a lads weekend away kind of a city..it's a bit off the beaten track as in you wont find tonnes of tourists there..depends on what you're looking for!!...But the food and drink there isn't very expensive.
The airport (st.javier) is about 30mins from Murcia(on the coast, south east of murcia) and not very big....Alicante is about 45/50 mins from Murcia city by car and Malaga about 300kms away.
