    Hi all,

this might sound completely retarded but someone else out there must be having the same problem....

the psp power button is in a stupid place IMO

playing smackdown vs raw 2006 atm and since it involves a lot of button bashing, especially the shoulder buttons, on countless occasions during a match, i've been mashing away on R2, trying to reverse a move etc and the position of my hand has turned off the console. i know it just resumes when you turn it back on but its really starting to get on my jabs.

i presumed the hold function might fix this but of course, it disables all of the controls as well.

i'm very surprised i havent seen this on forums, a major oversight me thinks. it could easily be on the top of the console.

*i have standard, fully formed hands

Yeah that used to happen to me alot, but you get used to it's position and sooner or later stop doing it.

It has been discussed here before.

There was someone else on the forum complaining about this, but I've never done it and TBH I can't really see how you are hitting it. There is loads of space between my hand and the switch.

As he said it happens when he's using the shoulder buttons. It was happening to me when I was using the turbo boost (R button) in Tiger woods. So if you aren't playing games where hammering the ****e out of the R button is necessary maybe you haven't had your hand in the same position as him............ or something :p

yeah, make a backwards letter C out of your right hand and thats the position i hold it in, for SD vs Raw anyway - honestly trying to avoid the power button but happened again this morning.

i think the position of the power button is ridiculous tbh, and not even being able to lock it somehow...

i was blown away by the PSP when i got it last week, amazing display and features but i think the design is very dated and layout is dreadful, just not that comfortable to use for games. the overall look of it is unfinished....and what's with this glossy black that looks constantly greasy?

you'ld think that sony would learn from ipod and several generations of gameboys.
