    Hi there,

Firstly, I'm breaking our own rules here which is why this thread will be locked once I'm done.

There is a delicate balance to a forum, a melody that is encouraged by a moderator so entined as to be like distinguishing the fighter from the form he's performing. Everyone here needs to understand that.

    Firstly a few golden rules:
You simply NEVER EVER discuss the moderatorship of a forum in that forum. It is, by its very nature, off topic. This forum is about SD/MA... not about the correct moderation of a SD/MA forum.
Such posts should be put in Feedback where the mod in question has no power to edit delete or adjust your posts.

The mod takes on an (unpaid!) responsibility to make the forum a clean and happy one. One that functions well. But who decides what is "well" and what isnt? Therein lies the problem. Everyone is agreed here that we want to make a forum thats as good as it can be for the SD/MA community in Ireland. So I would say this:

Repli is a good mod, he may be heavy handed but he's had a lot of experience here of bad forums and how they go back. If you think I'm Repli's mate from waaay back, trust me, we've had our differences *ahem*.

I think what needs to happen is that Repli might want to consider the concerns of the community here.... when those concerns aren't being slapped in his face with a bunch of accusations.

Additionally I think some people here need to realise that the door didnt slam shut behind them when they signed in, this is a public place not a private function room for a particular group.

So, we need to move towards the centre and some workable compromise. That means you too my dear reader. Please keep posts (and particularly new threads) on the topic at hand. There are other forums out there for other topics. God knows we have enough.

    So lets do this:
    1. Repli, from what it looks like, you've cleaned up the forum nice enough.
    2. Can people stay on topic.
    3. Can the mods provide some slack provided that it doesnt disrupt the on-topicness of the thread and/or forum.

    DeV.
