Pressing print screen is not working for me, I know it worked in the past with some other program while playing a dvd. I only have dvdshrink and windows media player. Is there any way of capturing a screen shot?

i usually use my polaroid camera to take a photo of the screen, then i use my scanner to get the photo onto my pc

i think this is the only way to do it

PowerDvd does that at the click of a button

    RTFM :p
The answer's on the first page ...

the button looks different in different releases (And may not be there on some OEM distro's...but that's rare)

Also: (Pimpage) VLC to the rescue again:)

or you could use a modded xbox with Xbox Media Centre installed. That can take screenshots of DVD Movies amongst other things.

if u turn off hardward acceleration u can use print screen to take screenshots of dvds
display properteries-settings-troubleshooting and slide the tab over to "none"
not the best way but avoids having to install more annoying software :)

/edit make sure u return it to normal once ur done ;)

Thanks! worked perfect. I think I did have powerdvd before (had to reformat a while back). I used to turn the screen to very high res so I could get a full quality window on the desktop, then just hit print screen.

With the acceleration tip above I can preview in shrink in full screen mode and press print screen.

    Thanks to all :)
