    Hehe! :D

and thanks to Mark who has turned into an ace dealer. ;)

I would write a longer report but I'm still steaming from losing the poster of the year by that one vote so thats all i got.

needless to say a shameless deal was orchestrated by someone we know and everyone went away happy with 2nd prize money. :p

    i'm off to hmv. d.

    congrats.

What was the original prize structure?

Maybe I wasn't paying attention before but recently I've noticed how in the Fitz first place is often about double second place prize money which means if it gets down to three players who are in any way even it's almost an automatic deal. Everyone will be getting more than second place money...

about 1500 for first and 750 for second.

personally I would prefer a softer slope but I seem to be in a minority on that one.

    anyhoo...

I bubbled in it, think I was to your right on 2nd last table Doc. First time playing in there and went out horribly, all I had to do was wait for the button to pass me and I was on the final table but theres a rookie mistake for you. Live and learn.

Although I don't know the details of the hand, I'll wager that you did the right thing.

Yes it sounds like you played the hand perfectly.

Yes I played it so perfect I knocked myself out.

So you have now learned that you should play like scared money on the bubble, a couple of months down the line depending on hoe often you play you will learn that Marq and Roundtower are right

I was chip leader 3 weeks ago in the scalps tournie in the Fitz with 10 players left, but by pushing harder to pick up chips I managed to bubble when I ran into better hands. I prefer this approach to that I used to take months ago which was to limp into the money and shut up shop once I get chips.

The above isn't exactly a highlight in my poker life, but it does reflect changed attitudes from when I started playing first as the lads are trying to say above. Bubble is usually a time when people are playing cautiously and chips are there to be picked up. If you run into a genuine hand then thems the breaks.

where u the chap who went out on the pocket nines? if so then U were playing well but shoulda put the brakes on with that hand.

old Bob only had one bb left so it wouldnt have taken that long!

glad u weren't on the final table though! ( that's a compliment btw)
