Lads i know this isn't strictly a Comp issue and will probably end up being moved, but im not getting any help from the net/comms & Wireless Forums!

Can anyone give me a guide to setting up a wireless router on an wired eircom DSL line.

i.e What addresses to set up where, what settings i need to have running or not !

The wired Router is a netopia.

The Wireless router is a Linksys.

Im not that good with wireless so step by step stuff here guys if you can!

    Cheers Lads

Set up the netopia from the instructions..

Once you're sure that's set up... plug in the Linksys and... crack open the linksys manual...

In fariness, between this and the previous post, you don't give the impression that you've tried anything. There's no way I'm walking you through a setup because you're too lazy to RTFM. If you get stuck, I'll be glad to point you in the right direction..AFTER you've made some effort.

The netopia works fine, its when i try to connect using the wireless card and router?

The netopia will try and give the router an IP addr in the range 192.168.1.xxx however, the router will have a static IP addr in the range 192.168.0.xxx,

You'll need to change the routers IP addr from the latter to the former, and it should work. Also if the router is a DHCP server it needs to be assigning IP addr's in that range too...

Make sure the router is set to bridge mode,
Also check and see that both router and modem are not doing dhcp at the same time.
