Laptop connecting to screen, etc. ?

Hi , i'm planning to buy an acer (acer aspire 1692) but is it possible to use it like a desktop? I mean , can u connect a monitor (a screen) to it? , and a keyboard? Mostly i'm using it @ home, but when i'll go to a friend I want to take the laptop with me , is this possible?? tx wannes :rolleyes:

Then yes-you can connect a monitor via VGA, or to a TV with poorer quality (S-Video)

And get a USB keyboard and mouse.
