thinking of selling my mac mini

    I'm thinking of flogging my mac mini. I am just not using it enough.

    What do you reckon I could get for the following?
    Mac Mini ( 1.42GHz PowerPC G4,    512MB DDR333 SDRAM) 3 months old
    17" Dell Flat screen LCD Display
    Dell Wireless multimedia keyboard and mouse

    Would I get €800 for this lot?

    that's not a bad price. you might even get a few quid more. it's not an easy computer to sell though. if i was in your shoes i'd put an ad in boards, buy & sell and ebay, all at the same time, asap. people aren't gonna be spending much money in the new year.

    you still selling this ? what size is the hdd, does it come with AirPort Extreme and does it have the DVD-RW or just the combo drive ?

    yeah, probably will (little bit undecided)


    here is the spec:

    1.42GHz PowerPC G4
    512MB DDR333 SDRAM
    ATI Radeon 9200
    32MB DDR video memory
    80GB Ultra ATA hard drive
    Combo drive (DVD/CD-RW)
    DVI or VGA video output
    AirPort Extreme and Bluetooth included

    You are just down the road from me too ;)

    I didn't bother getting it as I have a burner on the PC (I'm allowed say that on this board??)

    If you are decided on selling it now, I'd advise shooting over to FS Computer Hardware where I'm sure you'll have more joy.

    I went an bought myself a mini in the US around a month ago so I'm sorted. A highly recommended piece of kit.

    Good luck with the sale.

    No, but I will be soon.

    It's got a wireless apple keyboard now too.

    Hopefully I'll get a decent price for it.:)

    Doubt you will. It's now old hardware since the new Mini has an Intel processor and is significantly faster. I'm in the same boat - I bought my Mini in Feb, just a few weeks before the new one came out, but then I was half expecting it and was just being impatient :)
