Does anyone know any good poker sites that you can download on a mac?

You can download on both www.bugsysclub.com and www.gamesgrid.com however these are not great sites the best option are really www.pokerroom.com or a skin which have better sign up bonus's such as www.bayoupoker.com, www.hollywoodpoker.com etc or www.888.com (pacific pker) but it is a little unstable.

I would recomend getting virtual PC with windows 200 (xp is not great) but be sure to send at least 512 mb ram over to virtual pc for good performance. Once you have this most downloadable sites like Paddy power, Paradise etc will run fine.

I was actually going to ask about this, because i'm thinking of buying a powerbook in the new year. You're telling me that none of the major poker rooms support mac? I find this a little hard to believe seen as most students in the states own powerbooks instead of pc's.

pgernon is right. There are only a few sites offering Mac software. Bugsysclub.com is probably the best. Do a search for it, it's been mentioned before. The pokerroom skins are all java / browser based.

My Powerbook is a little more than a year old and won't run Virtual PC 6 reliably. It's 867mhz running at 133mhz with 1.12 gb ram. The newer Powerbooks have a min of 1.5 ghz running at 333 mhz with 512 mb ram.

My personal opinion of running Virtual PC on anything slower than the new powerbooks is simple - DON'T. Amaru, if you don't need a portable, consider a new iMac. 1.9 or 2.1 ghz running at 633 and 700mhz with the 20 inch supporting up to 2.5gigs of ram. The 20 inch costs just over €1800 while a 15 inch PB is over 2k (forget the 12 inch, in my opinion it runs too slow to reliably support virtual PC). Best thing to do is find someone who's happy with running Virtual PC on their Mac, have them download some poker software onto it and see how it runs.

Some of the guys on the Mac forum can give more advice.

timely question, seeing that my friend Bill just posted about Filt Tilt's new Mac native client (he works there).

    Full Tilt on the Mac

Shhhhhhhhhhhh . . . don’t tell anyone but Full Tilt has launched a Mac client beta. Unlike Mac clients offered by other online poker rooms this Mac client is 100% Mac. No Java. No Mac window wrap arounds. Nope. A real all-Mac Mac client.

If you already play at Full Tilt Poker on your PC, you can log on to the new Mac software using your current Player ID and Password immediately after completing the install. If you are a new Full Tilt Poker player, just download and create a new account.

Check out the Full Tilt Mac Beta page for details. http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/bonusMacBeta.php?aff=434&code=10KPROMO&int=30002006&ext=

Bill is a fairly well-known poker blogger, based in LA. I am the not too well known boards user formerly known as Fixer. Although we have been drunk together many times and are both members of the same fraternal organization, we are not the same person.

Thanks for that Fixer - rys - (Bill :)). Good to see one of the big sites producing a Mac version. Just downloaded and played for a while. It's quite nice and very easy to get used to. Runs well on my mediocre machine as well :)

I downloaded bugsy and full tilt, both work great on it. Was getting worried when i couldn't find any mac poker sites :D

I like fulltilt better, not sure i'll keep bugsy. Do you's know what the situation with freerolls is? Are they on often? Do you need to set up real money accounts of some sort, Like in paddy power?
