Special Forces: How do I get it to work?

As the title suggests one of my kind realtives have gotten me the expansion pack. I installed it but cant connect to any game servers, getting a message saying something like revert to previous versions of BF2 for it work. I alrady had my Original BF2 patched to v1.12.
So would any kind soul tell me what I need to do to get the mayhem started

You may have had 1.12 installed before hand, but SF puts it back to 1.10. Just repatch to 1.12 and all should be well.

Jebus. Scroll down the page people, think this is at least the 20th thread about this problem.

You need to repatch BF2 after installing SF.
