    Merry Christmas to all of you. To quote the mighty Flaming Lips: "If I could stop time, it would be a frozen moment just round Christmas." Hope everyone has a lovely day with no stress, no fights, no grief and no indigestion. I've already had two Christmas ham sandwiches so I've a feeling I'm fighting a losing battle on the indigestion front.

    just finished my on call today. The arrest bleep was completely silent and the hospital is a ghost town - it is truly ridiculous, there are actually VACANT beds in St. James's because everyone that could go was discharged early to be home at christmas! There are no trolleys in A&E and no queues, straight to the ward!

    Madness, but it will all go nutty tomorrow because everyone who was sick will hold out for a day to have christmas and then they will come in........
