hi i just got this problem recently on windows xp where i can't move any folder or delete it because it keeps giving me an error "X is being used by another person program"

Now i don't have any file sharing programs open and i disconnect from the internet/network etc. i can actually move the individual files in the folder but not the folder itself,or delete it etc

i've tried goolging it but i haven't found any decent answers so i was just wondering if any of yee have come across this before :v:

Try rebooting to safe mode and then try to delete it from both MyComputer and from a command prompt if that fails. If it comes back after deletion it is time to scan your system for viruses and other malware.

I don't know why this happens but when it happened to me I was able to delete folders by using Shift/Delete.

I believe this bypasses the recycle bin and so permanently
deletes the folder, so be careful
