I am starting to get very intrested in the weather but a have a learning curve hurdle. Can someone explain in layman terms what are these z's that are frequently referd to. Thanks

zulu time which is same as GMT, the numbers I think, should now be self explanatory

Rofl I thought it was some shorthand version of "hours".

Actually, now that I think about it, those charts are released by Wetterzentrale mainly, and the German for time is Zeit...
