sempron laptop

    saw a laptop in cork yesterday.
    it had a sempron 1.8ghz processor 256mb ram(would add some more ram myself),dvdrw. and other usual stuff.it cost 800euros.is this expensive for this laptop?
    i only use my current pc (800mhz p3) for music production software and media backup, no gaming.
    minimum spec for some of the software i use would be something like Pentium III at 1 GHz or Athlon XP at 1.33 GHz.
    would an 1.8ghz sempron be ok for this kinda spec?
    anyone using one of these type laptops have any comments about them?

    Should be ok! Just add another 256mb ram and you should be good to go.
