Never read a Poker book but probably need to start doing so.
Have 4,000 Pokerstars points and was thinking of getting some of the books on there.
Only really play online on Pokerstars for last 2 years, NLHE mainly $5, $10 and $20 SNG's or $10+$20 H/U. Loss in year one, tiny profit in year 2 but need to start making some real money!
Anybody recommend which of these I should get?

I don't much about the majority of the books listed there but I'd say teh Sklansky ones are as good as any, (if not better)

Do Pokerstar Points work along the same lines as Paddy Power Points?

"Theory of Poker" should be the priority from that list. After that, possibly "Tournament Poker for Advanced Players" (Sklansky) or "Winning Low-limit Holdem" by Lee Jones. (I've never actually read that, but I've noticed over the years that it's well regarded).

"Championship No-Limit & Pot Limit Hold Em" By Tom McEvoy and T.J. Cloutier is another option, although it is getting dated at this stage. HJ talks about mathematical flaws in the book, but I was never good enough to spot them. :)

The only other ones I know are "Holdem Poker for Advanced Players" (Sklansky), which I think is too hard to read for a first book, and the " Psychology of Poker" By Alan Schoonmaker, which is not worth buying, imo. Anything in that is already covered by Mike Caro in his website.

You could always get Moneymakers book as well.

i read that book by gary carson found it very useful especially in terms of pot odds and being able to adapt your style of play to different games i.e. loose, tight etc and to different player styles. i'd highly recommend it

I'm fairly sure this is about limit poker, which okidoki isn't playing. I haven't read many of the books so I can't offer much of an opinion. Don't know how much 2000 FPP is worth on Pokerstars but if you are playing $20 SnGs almost any book should be worth its price unless it actually makes you a worse player.

Winning Low Limit Hold 'Em by Lee Jones helped me a lot
