OMG - basically only 2 players have more than 1 BB left!!!! All the chips on the other table???

It looks like one of the Party Poker speed MTT's where there is little or no play and everyone plays each hand as slow as possible while the levels go up. The most important strategic consideration is how long you leave it till you use your time bank.

It was actually on PPP no skill involved at all at this stage... and on my next BB I got KK. So should have finished 6th by simply waiting. But I got cocky and played a pair of 7s :D

Nice one Len!! Can't believe you're 10 points ahead of me.. this tournament must have swung it in your favour! damn those cowboys..:)

I enjoy these speed tournaments.. and despite what others say there is a tactic to cashing in them.. opponents constantly mis-calculate the pot odds.. countless times they'll give up more than half their stack in the blinds.

Just keep on pushing.. and when you get a larger stack push some more! Attack the large stacks who (mistakingly) will fold.. and leave the short (dangerous) stacks alone.

You need a bit of luck, but it's the one type of poker where you can double up without having a showdown.

ps: the players on tribeca are ausually too thick to consider pausing UTG in an attempt to break their table before the blinds hit them.. or even pausing on the bubble while others drop out.. a few do it but the majority haven't figured it out yet.

I have to admit I was amazed when three shortstacks went all in each on about 11k. All they had to do was wait.

There is a skill to these for sure... I'm sure you'll make up those ten points lol.
