A is for Accident is the first album on Important Records, it was released before the studio album. It's all live. There's also a 7" single on Important that's pretty hard to find (if you do find it, can I have it?).

I hate to break it to you munky but the branded themselves "Brechtian Punk Cabaret". And yes, buckets of talent. If you get a chance you should download some of the videos from their website of live perfomances, its as close as we're going to get any time soon!

Well Brecht was far more punk than punk ever was so I'd just call them Brechtian. This whole Cabaret Punk thing is starting to get hot. I love the Dresden Dolls and I found another band that are kind of similar (less angsty though) called Barbez. They mix more of Godspeed You! Black Emperor vibe into their music, their singer is kind of operatic mixed with folk. Very cool.

Cheers for that John2! Checked out Barbez, not too bad but I have to say the operatic vocals really didnt do it for me! I think one of the draws to the DD for me is the passion in Amanda Palmers Vocals. Any other Recommendations going?
