VPN passthroughs VS sessions

Im drivin qwuare here trying to figure out the difference. My understanding is thus: Passthrough: X connections from client to server - but VPN security is handled at the client and server? Sessions: X concurrent client server connections, with VPN security handled by the router if required. :confused: :v: :confused:
