    Cupid’s Neurosis

    All men are bastards
    All women are neurotic
    Love dies faster
    When minds turn psychotic
    Then love starts to choke
    And love pulls us away
    Commitment revoked
    When love starts to stray

    What is love? Something I fear?
    Should we even call it that?
    When blurred edges become clear
    You might not be such a good catch
    Scared to take the risk
    Don’t get in too deep
    Independence is missed
    So love becomes weak

    A faraway voice
    Brings me back to the now
    No longer rejoice
    Must get out somehow
    Lying awake
    Beside the invisible man
    Who loves for the sake
    Of getting all that he can
