    Anyone ever been to one?

They are playing in Holland next May, the 5th and Belgium on the 6th and i'm planning on being at one of those. I don't really have a preference as to where I want to see them, as long as I get to see them play i'll be happy.

Any ideas as to where will have the best atmosphere and general craic? Really looking forward to this.

...also, anywhere in dublin stock imaginations through the through the looking glass dvd? I've heard the audio from it from a few places and want to buy the dvd but would prefer to buy it offline.

I saw them at Wacken in 2002 & they were absolutely brilliant live - one of the best bands I've ever seen.. They had so much energy!

As to why I never went to see them, Gamma Ray & Threshold at Bloodstock that year I'll never know - would have been amazing (probably lack of money)..

I'm not sure if Tommy in Sound Cellar has the DVD, but he'd order it in for you if you asked him! Really must get round to buying that myself. Forgot to put it on my Christmas wish list...

Dont Blind Guardian Have Some Connection To Iced Earth. I Remember First Getting Into This Band When They Covered Queens 'spread Your Wings' And Did One Of The Best Covers Of An Original Queen Song Ive Ever Heard. I Love Blind Guardian But Im Hoping To Go To Download This Year....theyre In Europe On The Same Week....why Not Pop Over?

Jon from Iced Earth and one of the dudes in Blind Guardian have a band together, the name of which escapes me at the moment.

That would be Demon's & Wizards you're thinking of, Doc.

oh cool. are they any good?

Yeah, they're good, so if you like the concept of Iced Earth with Blind Guardian's Vocals, should go down a storm.

I like Demons & Wizards, but I don't think they're as good as Iced Earth or Blind Guardian!

Sounds like a good time was had then :v:

Xmas shopping tomorrow, i'll be scouring town(within reason) for the dvd, the live version of the bards song is brilliant.

Weighing up the options on either Holland or Belgium, price wise its pretty much the same wherever I go, travel wise that is.

Belgium? or Holland? Belgium? or Holland? Decisions, decisions...

I really wanna see BG live, they're my fav band. And I'm so jealous of Karl (even if he passed out)

Why can't they play in Ireland? Why god, why?
