He's gotta be backed in the King George. The opposition is crap. Kingscliff only beat him last time cos the King got injured during the race. Get on him at 7/4. He'll p*ss all over kingscliff.

While I agree that he will probably win this, his price is ridiculous considering what he has achieved this season.
On his first outing, while maybe not 100% fit, neither was War of Attrition and the extremely close proximity of Pizarro gives the form a very bad look indeed.
He did seem to be cruising in Haydock though but he failed to find anything when asked after the last. How much his "supposed" injury had to do with this I don't know.
On both these occasions he kept with the field and only asked for an effort coming to the last unlike last year where he pushed on very early in both the King George and the Gold Cup and was slowing at the line on both occasions. I think a lot depends on how he's ridden again and the best way to win on him seems to be push on early and catch the others on the hop. Another furlong in either race last year and he was beaten.
Anyway, I think a saver on Ollie Magern is needed. He was a top class novice last year and returned this year again in top form winning the charlie hall. His run in Haydock was so bad that it has to be dismissed and at around 14.5 on Betfair is an absolutely colossal price and has to be taken in some form or another.
    My tuppence worth!!

I agree that Ollie Magern is an excellent e/w bet.

The problem with Ollie Magern is that he likes to have an uncontested lead, he is not going to get this with Impek in the field. Have a look back at the Haydock race, he got an easy lead for the first half of the race but once he was challenged for the lead he folded and dropped away very quickly.

I'd be prepared to give Kicking King another chance, although at the price it may pay to wait until the day of the race rather than taking an ante-post risk.

You would want to be off your head to be backing KK antepost at his current price.
Wait for the day and pile in.
Don't forget your e/w saver on Ollie though!! ;)

Well i hear the plan for him today is to be in the lead at the pond fence, ask him for a big one and then go for home, a la moscow flyer in the tingle creek in 2004.

Very bad value I think at those skinny odds.I think Kingscliff could be a big danger here as many people think he got a very negative ride in last years event (Andy Thornton I think it was).

Might be a race to watch and have an ew bet on Ollie Magern ...
