    Hi Folks,
Get my aerials put in attic with a televes booster with variable boost for UHF and VHF sepaerately. Problem is white sparking dots moving on VHF channels only but if i turn down amp, then I get poor reception. If I don't use a booster, then the VHF channels are quite good with no dots but no UHF channels come through. Should I get a VHF pass through booster for UHF only instead?

Get a VHF / UHF "diplexer" It looks like a "Y" splitter.

Feed the aerial pre amp into UHF
Feed the VHF aerial in directly.

If not available try just an ordinary "Y" splitter to combine the UHF pre-amp signal and the VHF aerial.

    It could be interference pickup.

Use Satellite double sheilded cable from UHF aerial to pre-amp and put it inside the attic.

The amp diplexes the vhf and uhf as it is so there should be no need to diplex before that I thought but electrical interference is definitely affecting it somewhere.

"whte dots" on VHF channels (especially Band 1) can be caused by a break in the connection of the outer screen of the coaxial cable

Yup, I agree with Ulsterman 1690, it's most likely a connection issue, otherwise, your VHF signals must be very weak!
