Just wondering whats the best way to penetrate shields was on the first mission in the Noah system and I just couldn't seem to make a dent and neither could they for that matter it was all a bit silly.

This game seems impossible and confusing until you figure out the relation between all the weapons. You need energy shell guns or the like to bash shields, then gatling guns or other projcetile weapons to damage the hulls. Don't forget to load up on the new weapons when you arrive in the Noah system (like I did).

I played a few levels of it until I had to reinstall Windows, I was impressed though, but the weapons were a bit confusing allright, which ones to equip and what damage they do.

Nice graphics and a bit like Homeworld, must have a shot again.

Awesome game I thought. Actually preferred it to Homeworld because I loved the slower pace. I think there's quite a lot of extra maps and mods available for it too.

nexus is very strategy orintated (train certain weapons on enemy subsystems etc...), whereas homeworld is a bit more resource management... (great story though)
