Whats your thoughts on this episode?

I just watched it, and thought it was pretty decent.
I am still totally confused as to why the ancients would build another atlantis and just leave it underground.
There were a lot of unanswered questions in this episode, and the ending seemed a bit rushed. With shepard just explaining the happenings, rather than them being portrayed onscreen.

    Still give it 5/5 though

All I got out of this is that Atlantis is going to need some drones when the wraith discover the city wasn't destroyed in some future episode.

    Hmm.... yup that's about it.

    WTF was that about?
Sat there goin "nah something has to ge wrong they'd never get all that" - they did and they took a few drones:confused: F@ck that get the ZPM from earth and fly the thing to earth - could be handy. Kinda went nowhere as a story and the ending was to say the least poor:o

Pretty poor. As Obo said, it just provided some excuse to have a big wraith fight in the season finale with extra drones. At least, if nothing else, we finally got a star from the "Babylon 5" franchise in the SG franchise :)

I liked that episode it was ok, at least they have a few drones now, Hive ship ownage ahead!

Haha, Shepard gets the girl again, McKay: "My God, you are Kirk!" :D

But the 2nd Atlantis was confusing allright, wtf?
Maybe there's more? They are ships too, remember!

I didnt think it was much of an episode really.

i was reading another stargat forum, some were saying they thought the city of Atlantis was very small. but now that there are more maybe its not Atlantis afterall. the second city you could nearly say it was the lost city too as it was buried underground (hidden like Atlantis underwater). there are supose to be these great weapons on Atlantis ,where are they? all they have are a few guns and a few drones. ????
the 2 cities and if there are more might make up a bigger city if joined together???????? what are peoples views on this? any other speculation??

Ive been saying this for months now, where the hell are the new weapons we havent seen anything, nothing special, at the way the city is designed we nearly have the technology they do....

As in motion detectors etc not the gate or shield.....

Sure the tv rockets are alot like the drones in a way, we need a new writer who can bring some new damn weapons....

And whatever any of ye say dont say they just havent found them yet cus they have been exploring the city for the guts of 2 years now...

    Hmmm....MacBeth of the Pegasus galaxy.
I liked it, it's filler, but it was still entertaining.
The story was good but I was left dissapointed on one aspect, I feel a story involving another great city could have been dealt with better.
Instead of pissing about with villagers.

I enojoyed watching the episode, as in the story was grand but what is getting me at this stage is the terrible new team dynamic. It's so.....disproportioned.
With Ronan (God I dislike this character) as a main character, that means that now every episode needs to include a scene/situation in which he goes berserk and batters everybody.
With Beckitt in the same boat, they know have to draw up some situation in which they have to call up the doctor to make a 'house call'.
And Weir, who used to be an important and involved charcter, is nowhere to be seen anymore.

So basically, the episode was nothing great and at the very least, it was good to set up the oncoming Wraith battle.

Something I meant to add....they are ruining Rodney by constantly putting him in peril.
I think we'll be lucky if we are still inetersted by season three.

Or worse, I hope they don't try to write him hardening to these type of things.

This is the first SG:A episode I've seen in a while. I believe the last one I watched was where they had prisoners placed around the gate so the wraith would eat them but it turned out they were actually just in co-hoots with them.
I stopped watching after that episode simply because they had the prisoners shoot down an Atlantis spacecraft with some fixed flak cannons.

Anyway, with that said, I quite enjoyed this episode. Perhaps I had much lower standards but I also thought it was quite good. I'm sick of episodes in various series where you believe a little bit of development (long-term) of the series is going to take place, only to find out that it is clinched away in the last few seconds. I was certain that the cave-in of the Atlantis city would result in it being destroyed or them getting absolutely nothing out of it. As it was, I was quite satisfied with the ending. Ok perhaps not so much the cringe worthy way each of the characters were trivialised into ridiculously transparent roles, nor the way they just glanced over the fact that these people had a giant fúcking city, buried under ground. But the actual ending was somewhat better.

As it stands, I gave it 4/5. Again, simply because my standards for Atlantis have fallen quite sharply.

was it just me, or did they just remove the planets only form of protection [by fully draining the zpm], take their drones and jumpers, and in return, gave them some medicine and a IDC for the day the wraith come to eat them all?

sounds like the natives got royally screwed over.

this episode was average. it brought up a lot of questions as has been said, and didnt really go anywhere

Mneh, it was gonna eventually run out what with all the murdering of village people with the fancy Ancient tech, anyway. So they made a little "profit" from the transaction, boo hoo :p
