    There is no such thing. The only way to watch Channel 4 on satellite is with a UK card, be that a subscription or a FTV card.

    Channel 4 is encrypted and is not viewable with an Irish subscription (even through the Add Channels feature), unlike ITV and BBC.

    It's tuning info is - 12168 V SR 27500 FEC 2/3. You can tune it in but if you have an Irish card you'll get a message saying "This programme is not avaiable".

    don't know what the contractual situation is but read recently on digitalspy about the arguments meriting for going FTA and it made sense.

    also i believe they have shown their intent with More4.
    correct me if i'm wrong but didn't that go FTA

    More4 is not FTA, it's not even FTV, it's subscription only afaik. I'm not going to speculate whether ch4 will go fta or not we've had "Will ITV go FTA" threads on here for years before it happened. fwiw I hope they do then i can get rid of my sky/ftv combo and get a generic sat box

    indeed. Channel 4 have no FTA channels on satellite. this thread is going nowhere so it will be closed
