    You're young and innocent.

Your course in no-way determines your social life.

Well, if you want the most fun, and it really really is a lot of fun. Move to corrib village with a bunch of stoners and do an arts degree with Philosophy, Classical Studies, English and Legal science. Christ that was an eye opening year, went a bit strange after christmas though, lots of madness. or if you want something easy try one of GMIT's many fine basket weaving courses. In seriousness though the timetable of CE is tough, a lot of hours indeed.

the timetable of CE is tough
Well that's an understatement for a start!!
It's about 30 or more hours a week and yes most of them are lads, i barely see any women when i'm in their building. I'm in commerce with, well let's just say, the pick of the crop!;) Unbelievable amount of good looking approachable gals!
But in fairness just because their's no girls on your course doesn't mean you won't get the ladies. Live in student accomodation, join clubs and socities etc. THAT'S how you get the women pal, not just because they're doing the same course

    but...but...it's the only interesting one.
Don't know how civil engineers do not die of sheer boredom.

Agree course in no way determines how much fun you'll have. Live in student accommodation, I can't stress this highly enough, I didn't (not by choice) and it's the only thing I'd change about how I went about going to college.
