Do I need a second LNB?

I have a subscription to Sky for the last few years. I noticed that when I take the card out I still get in some free channels. The Sky installer brought the cable from the dish into the attic where it is connected into the existing coax cabling. It seems to me that the signal is sent from this point to all connection points in my house, but obviously only the Sky box can make use of it. My question is: If I got another second digibox could I connect that to another point on the same coax line and get the free channels?

No this won't work. Each sky box needs a seperate LNB for it to work. A message comes up on screen, stating " No signal found". If you have a quad (4) LNB and wire each sky box seperately, then it will work. AFAIK !!

thanks for that, saves me wasting money on another box!
So, does the multiroom from Sky give out a second LNB?

No, they fit a quad output LNB, which is a simple DIY job - a Sky toydish compatible quad costs around €70. You can't have two LNB's on one dish focused on the same satellite cluster anyway.
