Changing name tags

Hi Guys,

I think this was introduced in last release/update for BF2 but I want to remove my clan tags from my name and not sure what the process is so I don't have to start earning medals again.

Any ideas?

No clue I'm afraid but one of my housemates was also trying to do this as he named his character after a girl from another game and now regrets it

TiG have a method for changing your ingame name for ex-NRG members who wish to join.

1. Go into your "my documents folder" and from there go to Battlefield 2\Profiles
2. From there open up "Global.con" with notepad and change the line that says GlobalSettings.setNamePrefix to GlobalSettings.setNamePrefix "§3"
3. Go into BF2 and get to the login screen
4. At the top of login screen it should say §3 if it doesnt you ****ed up somehow. Anyways dont edit it, just log in normally
5. Join a server and start spamming like crazy

Also, a few other chars do special stuff:
§0 doesn't show up as anything (hidden)
§1 doesn't show up as anything (hidden)
§2 makes text bigger
§3 makes text bigger
§4 doesn't show up as anything (hidden)
§C turns text orange and hides the next three letters in the nick, including the clantag

COMBOS:
§C§3§0 turns text orange and does not show a clantag or hide any letters in the nick
§3§C§0 makes text large and orange, and only hides the first letter of the nick

Main points :P

now, its the first 3 charaters just so it will hide [NR but not G] & the G]..... will be orange, but the [Ti will be normal

GlobalSettings.setNamePrefix "[Ti§3" is what mine looks like. But the prob is if ya dont get one that ends in G can be a prob.

You Evil bast Luc, I would have never said that. In saying this is a sort of fix in that on the tabbed scoreboard it works well but in game you see the full string.

It only works if the last character of the clan tag is 'G'...
