Cant connect to eircom's email using outlook

    The past 2-3 days I havent been able to connect to my eircom email. I have tried different pop3 & smtp (mail, mail1, mail2) and still it cant connect. I was wonderring whether anyone else having this problem?

    My mother was complaining about the same thing on Thunderbird a couple of weeks ago. Mine wasn't working either, but interestingly, my father's was. After about two weeks, the problem seemed to sort itself out. Hope it's the same for you.

    Could be your antivirus program stopping it. I had probs with AVG's email scanner and ended up having to disable it as it wouldn't let me download my emails. Did this problem surface after a recent Antivirus program update? What antivirus do you have? Do you have a firewall aswell?

    I got this. and tried deleting the email accounts and saving them again....seems to work ok now.:D
