    Hi folks,

I'm looking to get either a Panasonic TH4PA50 or TH42PV500 in the new year. Can anyone recommend any good electrical retailers in Dublin? I'm currently pricing around at the moment & want to get the best price possible.

    Cheers,

    Rael

Anyone I know who has a plasma got them in the UK, they saved in one case a couple of grand over the Dublin price. I can find out the dealer name if you want.

Probably Richer Sounds in Belfast. Got my panasonic plasma up there and its great. They'll deliver down here too. www.richersounds.ie

Best to ring them. If they dont have the model in stock they will order it in for you and give you a price. Very good customer service but dont bother emailing them. Takes ages to get a reply so just ring. Good luck

I second that, the manager and another guy drove mine down. Brought it into the house and unwrapped it for my father to inspect, offered to take the box too. I got to pick the day and time for delivery. They dont have the models you want but they dont sell crap there.

    Lo

    Go for the PV500
    or Pioneer 436xde for the 43" / 506xde for the 50"

    www.technikdirekt.de

the panasonic is 2492 incl vat also special shipping delivery is only €75

Thats a saving of approx €1200!!! compared to what ive seen in this rip off country, I never shop in ireland anymore!

    Hi again,

I talked to my mate and he said he got his previous stuff from krishav.co.uk, av-sales.co.uk and av4u.co.uk. He called them up and had a bit of banter with them and managed to negotiate a further couple of hundred off their web prices. Add to that he didn't need tuners etc (got Sky+) or speakers (got surround). He went for a Panasonic PWD8 - exact price he didn't say but less than what they state on their site.

I mentioned Richersounds to him and he had nothing but praise. I got my own amp in there last year - great guys. He mentioned they had some offer of a PWD7 with a board or two included for £999. Don't see it on their site, maybe call 'em.

    Good luck,

    B.

That offer is on their uk site. Includes a composite and component board. Not bad but he'd probably still have to get a scart board
