Tax and Unemployment assistance

    Quick question here.

For a portion of this year, I was on unemployment assistance, while working part time. Now it's coming up to the end of the year, and based on some rough calculations with my tax credits, I reckon that I've overpaid some tax.

But, will having been in recipt of UA affect this? I've simply got no idea.

    UA is not taxable.

What about unemployment benefit (UB)? Just for the sake of comparison.

UB is taxable subject to a €13 exemption per week.
