It could be a gift, being Christmas and all.

Start phoning around, see if nayone you know might have ordered it for you. Failing that, you could always get in touch with Dabs, see if they can tell you the name of the person who ordered it.

Keep it for a 2 or 3 weeks and if they ask for it back send it to them on their exspense

check the delivery docket, they normally - don't know about dabs - have a invoice to: address and a deliver to: address. the invoice address would be different if it's a gift.

it says nothing on the invoice, just some numbers (consignment number order no etc) but no names

and i'm not expecting anyone to give me a 300 euro present

Sounds like fun. :) One of my suppliers once sent me 3x9800 Pro graphics cards for the price of 1. I notified them and at the same time questioned them on something else. He spent like a week or two contacting the manufacturer to answer my technical question and didn't bother with the 3-for-1. (I ended up mentioning it another time I think also but he just wasn't interested.) To this day I still have the 3 of them, unopened, waiting for them to ask for them back. :p

If you really want, contact Dabs and say it to them. It may have been something like mixing up two account numbers when processing an order. It seems like a strange mistake though.

The law says that if you receive unsolicited goods, you must notify the sender and they must collect at no cost to you. If they fail to do so within thirty days the goods are yours.

The wording suggests it's thirty days from the time of notification, though I approve of the sentiment behind your suggestion.

    Here's my advice:
If no one claims it back, and if no one knows whom it's from..... keep it!! Merry Christmas! :v: :D;)

Well if you dont tell them after 6 months its yours! But the only thing is they can contact you anytime in that 6 months and say we want it back and it has to be in perfect condition. Best thing to do is dont contact them leave it under a bed or something set a reminder for 6 months then unwrap your belated christmas present !! :D
