Hi ive just recently completed a four year degree program in IT with multimedia, im working in Dublin and i wish to obtain my CCNA.

Now i have only some experience with Networking having studied it for one year during my course and to be honest i found it fairly tough going so i am considering completing the 'Intro to Cisco Networking' just to start off.

Can anybody please advise me on what i should do?? Im not some super smart computer whizz or anything whos just going to fly through it regardless. I have looked for venues on the web for the courses beginning early January but they are all quoting me about 1800. Now i am aware that they are bug money but ive heard of prices around the 800Euro mark, where you attend class one day a week and study the rest for yourself. Id appreciate any hints on how to about it.

    CHeers!

Home study? A LOT cheaper. I know you think you may have problems with it but why not try at least.
Get the 2 book Cisco CCNA kit (Covers both the INTRO and ICND), and the Sybex5th Edition book (It's not as up to date but is easier to understand). Also get the CCNA Simulator from Cisco (It's a modified Boson sim). Work at your own pace, have multiple sources for explanations and work the labs in the sim for familiarity. Also checkout www.techexams.net (Not as an alternative to Boards, it's just aimed sqaurely at certifications and is a brilliant resource aswell)
